Anyone who has traveled extensively or lived abroad knows that knows that half the fun is talking
about it when you get home! The Columbus Council on World Affairs is the outlet through which
volunteers, eager to discuss their experiences with other cultures, can connect to students to do
just that. The fulfillment of our mission is reliant on the willingness of people like you to share your
knowledge and unique perspective. Whether you lived in Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer, were
born in France, come from a multi-ethnic family, or have studied a global issue in a purely academic
context, there is a way for you to get involved!
Additionally, the Council often counts on the support of volunteers to assist in office management
and event-related activities. These activities can often be tailored to meet our volunteer’s specific
talents and interest, as need dictates.
If you would like to discuss these types of opportunities,
please contact Shannon McAfee via email or at 614 229 4599 X 402.
