CCWA’s New Chairman of the Board of Directors

July 25, 2016

The Columbus Council on World Affairs (CCWA) today announced that Aneezal Mohamed, Vice President, Legal & Compliance and Corporate Secretary of Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) (Nasdaq: CVGI), has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of CCWA. Effective as of July 1, 2016, Aneezal succeeded Mark Hartman of Nationwide Insurance, whose term ended on June 30, 2016.

“I’m honored to be elected Chairman of the Board of CCWA and want to thank the Board for their vote of confidence in me. I also want to thank Mark for all the work he accomplished during the past 2 years. I’m looking forward to continuing my work with the CCWA Board as we strive to educate central Ohio’s residents about the importance of global awareness and fluency to help them thrive in our global environment,” said Aneezal.

Aneezal has been a Board member since 2007 and has served as Secretary, Chairman of the Governance and Personnel Committee, and on the Executive Committee of the Board. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University’s Thomas M. Cooley Law School and earned his B.S. in Political Science & Economics from Towson University in Maryland.

“We are so pleased to have Aneezal serve in this role. He has a strong appreciation for CCWA’s mission to increase global awareness in the central Ohio region. CVG has a strong worldwide presence and is one of our region’s hidden gems,” said Patrick Terrien, President & CEO of CCWA.
CVG was named the International Company of the Year in 2015 at CCWA’s premier annual event, the International Awards Ceremony, which marked the Council’s 40th anniversary. The Council recognizes a local company each year for its leadership in bridging the central Ohio community with the global economy and raising awareness of issues, such as education and trade, which have both an international and local impact.

“CVG has a presence worldwide with locations on four continents, so we understand that today’s economy demands global fluency, which is why CCWA’s mission is so critical. Aneezal, as a member of the executive leadership team of CVG, provides CVG with strategic counsel on our global operations among others, so we know his experience and knowledge of global markets make him the ideal person for this CCWA Board position,” said Patrick Miller, President & CEO of CVG.
