Letter from the President & CEO

The Columbus Council on World Affairs is always proud to honor the International Company of the Year at our annual International Awards Ceremony. This year, we will honor CAS, an incredibly global company making huge impacts on our community by bringing the world to Columbus and taking Columbus to the world through its work. With more than 50 languages spoken by scientists at its facilities here in Columbus, it’s clear that the world is significantly represented at CAS and their collection of work impacts scientific research and discoveries all around the world. Science is global, language is global, and Columbus is global. We are incredibly fortunate to have companies like CAS in our community, helping our city grow and positively represent our presence throughout the world.

In addition to honoring CAS as the International Company of the Year, we will also recognize the 2019 Global Scholars Diploma graduates (our 4th class of graduates) at the ceremony. This year, we graduate nearly 300 students from 14 school districts who will each send a student to represent all of the Global Scholars Diploma students in their district. Be prepared to be inspired by these young people and the global-local impacts that they’ve already made and will certainly continue to make long into the future.

We hope to see you on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the International Awards Ceremony to celebrate and honor these community influencers.
